"Technology and innovation in the space of Eco friendly: Reincarnate your space!"

In the recent times, the world at large is following practices that are friendly to nature. The only reason for which being the retaliation and retribution from Mother Nature in form of natural catastrophes, thinning of the ozone layer, biomagnifications, oceanic acidification, global warming and what not; and its subsequent impact on the health of the public as respiratory disease, cardiovascular disease, throat inflammation, chest pain, and congestion etc.

Evolution of sustainable development practices:
Today there is a growing need for technological innovations that can achieve the aim of sustainable development across all verticals concerning nature and being Eco-Friendly. Bearing this thought in mind in recent years, the efforts of manufacturing industries to achieve sustainable production have shifted from end-of-pipe solutions to a focus on product lifecycles and integrated environmental strategies and management systems. Therefore, there evolved a need for creation, development and innovation of closed-loop, circular production systems, and adoption of new business models.

Radical steps to seek Eco-innovation:
Eco- innovation or eco- friendly innovation aims to develop technological practices that are created basis keeping sustainable development in mind. It calls for industry and policy makers to work more positively towards radical and systematic development of new technology, expertise, equipment and machinery that are eco- friendly in nature. Many companies have started to use eco-innovation or similar terms to describe their contributions to sustainable development.

Key Aspects to develop eco innovation:
The new eco-friendly inventions compete with, and sometimes surpass, their conventional counterparts. Eco-Innovation is any form of innovation resulting in or aiming at significant and demonstrable progress towards the goal of sustainable development, through reducing impacts on the environment, enhancing resilience to environmental pressures, or achieving a more efficient and responsible use of natural resources. Hence the environmental policy and legislation should be such that promotes eco- innovation.
Other key aspect in developing eco-innovation is the collaboration and coming together of international forces to participate, support an contribute in this cause, mobilising financial instruments and support services for SMEs; and supporting the development of emerging skills and jobs and related training programmes to match labour market needs to develop eco innovation.

Celebrate Teacher's day with Eco-friendly Tips for Classrooms

Preaching values and incorporating them in the young minds is the real work of a teacher. Influencing and shaping the future of so many minds is the main task of a teacher. There are many issues that are solved by teachers in the daily routine-cycle of a student. Eco-friendliness and environmental concerns are a great issue for the future generations.

The manner in which a teacher lives her life has a great impact on the young minds and this can help them learn the various intricacies about the nature. An eco-friendly classroom can positively effect the manner in which the future generations will learn to conserve the natural resources and protect the environment. Teacher's should keep in mind the three R's for keeping the environment. They are:
  • Reduce
  • Reuse
  • Recycle

Setting an example in the eyes of the students, there are certain ways in which a teacher can help imbibe certain traits in a student that help them become a responsible citizen. Some of the mannerisms are:

    1. Turn off the lights when not required:

Teachers should keep in mind to switch off the lights and other electronic devices, when not required, in the classrooms. This will help the children to practice the same at home and other places.

    2. Help reduce wastage of water:

Teachers should check that the tap should be properly turned off when not in use. Also, if there is a tap that leaks, then you should get it fixed immediately as this helps save water. You can perform experiments for the children and show them how much water you can save by proper regularization. This helps the students to understand the basic need of conserving water.

    3. Save paper:

This can be done by encouraging students to use both sides of the paper for assignments, combine the worksheets, when making use of the printed copies of lessons. Reduction in the use of paper helps save the environment and benefits one and all.

    4. Keep recycling bins at bay:

Encourage the students to recycle everything. Be it plastic bottles, cans, paper, etc. help imbibe a sense of recycling in the students. You can also keep recycling bins in the classroom by making use of discarded cardboard boxes.

So, this Teacher's Day encourage the students to make the most of the opportunities that are available for saving the environment, as this will help the future generations.
